In the unique atmosphere oft he „old paper mill“ the history of paper production is presented authentically but nevertheless with the didactic methods of a modern museum. Parts oft he museum are dedicated to social aspects, protection of the environment an the history of river transport. In the museum the art of making paper by hand is practiced up to  today. Visitors can try to build their own sheet of paper in the traditional way.
