A warm welcome to the Pension Hohenau. Come and enjoy yourself. Our guesthouse, the Pension Hohenau, is in the heart of the Salzkammergut, in the village of Fuschl, only 15 miles from the world famous city of Salzburg and the historic town of Bad Ischl. The guesthouse is located in a quiet, elevated spot about 10 minutes walk from the centre of the village. The guesthouse enjoys outstanding panoramic views. Pension Hohenau has been in the ownership of the Brandstaetter family for over 300 years. At the heart of this family-run enterprise is the old farmhouse, noted locally for its historical importance. The adjacant building has recently been completely renovated and now contains holiday apartments of the highest standard. One of those lies on the ground floor and is equipped totaly barrier-free. We like to spoil our B&B guests with a lavish breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00. Our guests in the holiday apartments have the option of having fresh rolls delivered every morning and in order to complete a true farm-house experience, we offer you our own fresh milk free of charge. All our holiday apartments, as well as the B&B guestrooms, enjoy Wi-Fi access at favourable prices. For the duration of their stay, all our guests receive a card providing free access to the Fuschlsee bathing and leisure facilities, courtesy of Pension Hohenau. Our free of charge parking disc entitles our guests to free parking in the village of Fuschl. We spoil you with a fine breakfast in our cosy parlour. For surfers and boat owners we have a private landing beach. The extensive, well-maintained garden - and a solar-heated swimming pool - offers ample opportunity for relaxation, whilst the children have fun in the near-by play area. If you feel energetic, you can try table tennis, football or badminton. If shade appeals after a good day's sunbathing, you are welcome to use to one of the cooler terraces. Our barbeque area provides the opportunity for informal outdoor eating, with comfortable seating, for those who do not fancy going out for dinner. For your enjoyment on rainy days, our dayroom facilities offer a wide range of board games, books and magazines.

by car:

from Vienna via A1 Motorway towards Linz. Exit Mondsee and main road to St. Gilgen. From here the B158 to Fuschl am See from Munich via Motorway to Salzburg. By pass Salzburg towards Vienna (Wien) and exit Motorway at Thalgau. Take road to Hof and at round-about the B158 to Fuschl am See Where to find in Fuschl am See: If coming from Salzburg => before reaching the village of Fuschl am See there is an Information Point on the main road. Turn right right here; the Pension Hohenau is signposted If coming from St. gilgen => by pass the village until the Information Point and turn in left.

by train:

Train from Vienna to Salzburg station and further with the regional bus Nr. 150 towards Bad Ischl. Train from Germany to Salzburg station and further with the regional bus Nr. 150 towards Bad Ischl. During the week there is an hourly bus service to Fuschl. Weekends and Bank Holidays buses run every 2 hours. Should you wish, we can collect you from the station in Salzburg or the bus stop in the centre of Fuschl am See.

by plane:

From Salzburg Airport take the Nr. 2 bus to the main station and change on to the regional bus Nr. 150 to Fusch am See. From Munich Airport take train to Salzburg station where you change on to the regional bus Nr. 150 to Fuschl. On request we will collect you from Salzburg Airport.
