Accommodation in a quiet and sunny location
The "Haus der Begegnung" is a house for groups of 20 people or more and they usually have the house to themselves. We have a maximum of 65 beds. All people are welcome, regardless of their religion. The organisation is a Protestant non-profit association.
Our rooms are all equipped with shower and toilet. For our younger guests there is a playhouse with table tennis, table football, a playground and much more.
Furthermore, we offer you a beautiful view of the Gosaukamm and the surrounding mountain ranges.
In "Haus Wehrenfennig", which belongs to the "Haus der Begegnung", a holiday flat or two doubles can also be booked by individual travellers.
In summer, our location is a perfect starting point for hikes, walks and mountain bike tours.
In winter you can reach the skiing area Dachstein West in just a few minutes by car or you can use the free ski bus. The cross-country skiing trails are only a 5-minute walk away and cover the entire Gosau valley.

from Salzburg:
Motorway exit Golling - Abtenau, Russbach, Gosau.
Gosau: After the Pass Gschütt junction turn left onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 350 m turn right onto the Wirtsweg. Follow the Wirtsweg for 450m and then turn right. After 260m you will reach the house on the right hand side.
from Linz:
Motorway exit Regau - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau
Gosau: At the Pass Gschütt junction, go straight on to the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 350m turn right onto the Wirtsweg. Follow the Wirtsweg for 450m and then turn right. After 260m you will reach the house on the right hand side.
from Vienna/Graz:
Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau
Gosau: At the Pass Gschütt junction, go straight on to the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 350m turn right onto the Wirtsweg. Follow the Wirtsweg for 450m and then turn right. After 260m you will reach the house on the right hand side.
from Villach:
Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau
Gosau: After the Pass Gschütt junction turn left onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 350 m turn right onto the Wirtsweg. Follow the Wirtsweg for 450m and then turn right. After 260m you will reach the house on the right hand side.

Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning lines
Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue with bus 541/542 in the direction Gosausee
By bus (irregularly on Sundays):
Bus 470 (Abtenau - Gosau) direction Gosau, stop Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt,
change to the bus direction Gosausee (Lake Gosau), get off at the bus stop "Gosau Wirtsweg", along the Wirtsweg you will reach the house in about 10 minutes on foot.
Bus 541/542 (Bad Ischl - Gosausee) direction Gosausee, stops Haltestelle: Gosau Klaushof, Gosau Bärnausiedlung, Gosau Ressenbachweg, Gosau Vordertal B166, Gosau Ramsau B166, Gosau, Gemeindeamt, Abzw. Pass Gschütt, Gosau Wirtsweg,
walk along the Wirtsweg to reach the house in about 10 minutes.
