Kolomansbründl Hiking Trail
Tiefgraben am Mondsee, Oberösterreich, Österreich
The Kolomansbründl spring is located close to the eldest wooden church Austria's, the Kolomanskirche.
The path begins at the bridge of the Zeller Ache / Erlachmühle in the south, along the asphalt road, at the next farm on the right and behind the fields to the guesthouse "Leidingerhof" (Obergaisberg 7, A-5310 Mondsee, Tel: + 43 (0) 6232 2883, opening hours: daily as required or continuous). Also this inn offers a place to stop, has a nice terrace, from which you can enjoy the view to the MondSeeLand.
The path leads past the inn, we pass the Pension Stabauer and follow the red-white-red mark. Before you enter the forest, look back. From here you walk through the untouched nature in the forest of Kolomansberg. Near the intersection of the Bundesforstweg, go 20 meters to the left and you will come to two benches. This short breather should be used to enjoy the beautiful view into the impressive mountains of the Salzburg region.
The path now rises slightly, you cross a mixed forest and get to the Kolomanskirche, which was already mentioned in 1070. After visiting the church, go downhill through the forest and reach Kolomansbründl. This water helps with ailments. The Koloman valley and the Kolomanstaferl crossroads are very steep downhill. With this clearing you have a view of the marked Schafberg.
