Einsiedlerstein (Solitary Stone)
Bad Ischl, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Cultural and Mythical Place
Half-way towards Siriuskogl Mountain, erratic boulder with fossilizations, a relict from Ice Age. A witness of a time when the Ischl valley basin was still a high-alpine glacier landscape. When Traun Glacier deglaced the rock boulder was left behind at Siriuskogel, like a “hermit”.
