This recreation area is very picturesquely located around the former monastery building in the center of Traunkirchen.
The sunbathing lawn is next to the old abbey-building and is about 10m broad and 12m long. Near the sunbathing lawn there are a playground, a boat-rental, a supermarket, a café and guest-houses.
