Protestant church Bad Ischl

The Protestant parish church is located on the Laimberg at the confluence of the Traun and Ischl rivers. It was constructed from the so-called "Kornstadel" to form a church and vicarage. The building, which dates back to the 17th century and was used as a granary to supply the salt workers in the Ischl Valley, was acquired in 1881 with the help of Austrian and German noblemen.
The few Protestants in Ischl were incorporated into the parish of Goisern and it was not until 1902 that an independent parish of Bad Ischl was established.
Today, the parish area with approx. 1300 members includes not only Bad Ischl, but also the region around Lake Wolfgangsee with a small church in St Wolfgang.
