A winter holiday in the Salzkammergut! A winter holiday in the Salzkammergut! Our region is also worth a visit in the winter. Not only will you be captured by the idyllic landscape, but there are a host of winter sport activities for you to enjoy and try. This is the ideal setting for a winter holiday in the romantic snowy Salzkammergut. Skiing fans will find perfect conditions at Gaissau-Hintersee and the Postalm area in Strobl. Faistenau also offers ski lifts as well as ski school with end of course races which are great fun for our little guests. Have fun building a snowman or just rolling in the snow, and don´t forget there is snow-tubing and tobogganing to be tried out too. The magniificent landscape lends itself naturally for cross-country skiing. Take time to indulge in this beautiful feature of nature for you are sure to remember these impressions at a later date. The holiday apartment is 90 m2 and recently renovated in country-house style. It offers accommodation for up to 6 persons and comprise two separate bedrooms, one with convertible couch, an entrance area, two bathrooms with shower/WC, kitchen with dish washer, living area with TV and large balcony with panorama view. By car: Arrival via the West motorway A1, junction Thalgau. Follow the main road (B 158) in direction to Hof bei Salzburg until you reach the traffic circle “Baderluck”. At the first junction turn into the main road (Hinterseestraße) and after a few kilometers you reach your holiday destination Faistenau. When you leave the main road (Hinterseestraße) in direction to Faistenau, turn right and follow the road (Lidaunstraße). After 2 kilometres you reach the farm "Vorderschwandtgut"! With the Postbus From Salzburgs bus station, opposite the train station, there is a good bus connection into the Fuschlsee region and also to Faistenau. You will find details in internet under www.svv-info.at. With the Train Information and connections can be found under following addresses www.oebb.at or www.bahn.de By Air Salzburg Airport lies very close to Salzburg city. The Bus Nr. 2 brings you from the airport to the main station where you change to continue with the post bus.
