Built in 1690, the Katzerhaus in Ebensee is a house with soul. Old walls, fireplace, 300 years of history, combined with modern living culture.

Today, the house consists of two apartments that are perfect for large groups and families. The direct location on the Feuerkogel makes it the ideal starting point for mountain hikes, skiing and mountain activities such as paragliding, hang-gliding, mountain biking or a family excursion into the alpine mountain pine labyrinth. Just want to get together in a large group and celebrate? Perfect. The two apartments can be combined. Then the house is yours.

Both apartments are spacious and can accommodate up to 12 people. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a living room. There are comfortable box-spring beds in the cozy bedrooms.

The nearby town center and Lake Traunsee are just a ten-minute walk or bike ride away.

The Katzerhaus is located directly on the Langbathstraße, which leads to the Feuerkogelbahn on one side and to the Langbath lakes on the other. A lovely garden with a rustic garden hut frames the house. It is a garden that has always been lovingly tended. We were able to preserve much of it. And many things have been added.

Your host

Petra is the good soul of the house, takes care of almost everything on site and creates a pleasant atmosphere. She has furnished the apartments with great sensitivity. “I inherited that from my mother. She always said: not too much, not too little and unusually different” (Petra).

After years of hard work as an international manager in the logistics industry, Christian wanted a fulfilling life in his home country. He once discovered the house in Traunkirchen during a visit home and knew: “This is it. For us and for our guests!”

Both were born in the Salzkammergut, have returned to their homeland and also want to make the place a home for their guests.
